Ad Hominem

Ad Hominem, or "to the man," is a type of fallacy that attacks the person making the argument, rather than the argument itself. It is often used in personal attacks rather than addressing the issue at hand.

Examples of Ad Hominem:

Ad Biblicum is a closely related fallacy that attacks an argument based on a personal interpretation of scripture rather than evidence or reason.

Slippery Slope is a related fallacy that involves arguing that a small, insignificant action or event will inevitably lead to a large, catastrophic outcome.
